Actalent has an immediate opening for a Financial Reporting Manager at our Global Headquarters in Hanover, MD.

 

Compensation

Target Salary | $115,000 - 125,000

Bonus potential | Annually $7,500

 

Schedule

Full Time | Permanent 

Monday - Friday | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM 

Hybrid | 4 days in office - 1 day remote

 

Job Summary

The Financial Reporting Manager is responsible for managing the monthly close activities of Financial Analysts and the preparation and distribution of financial statements. Manages the department’s day to day performance of their jobs. Ensures project, department milestones and goals are met. Active contributor to monthly financial analysis and in the budget, process providing account analysis to assist in budget preparation. A qualified candidate must be detailed oriented, have strong analytical skills, and display a strong work ethic. This individual would be immersed in a culture that supports diversity, equity, and inclusion.

 

Essential Functions

  • Oversee the activities of the Financial Reporting department for the accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, and annual budgets.
  • Work with leadership to produce the company’s annual budget, providing analysis to drive budget creation.
  • Ensure that the monthly close conforms to company policy and GAAP standards
  • Educate and develop financial reporting staff on technical and professional issues.
  • Oversees and contributes to monthly variance commentary for reporting packages and reviews
  • Review of Financial Reporting Packages to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Works with operational and global partners to develop new reporting and maintain existing reporting

Supervisory / Managerial Responsibilities

Directly manages subordinates who may carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

 

Minimum Education

  • Ability to compile, analyze, interpret, and present complex financial analysis and projections.
  • Experience with overall financial close
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance systems and related applications.
  • Strong level of attention to detail and accuracy of information.
  • Experience with Oracle FCCS & EPBCS, and People Soft a plus.
  • Strategic thinker with excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Capable of balancing multiple work demands and setting priorities to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to effectively evaluate talent and hold team member, peers, and supervisors accountable
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from leaders and corporate departments
  • Organization and documentation skills.
  • 5-6 years of Accounting or Finance related experience.
  • Advanced business degree a plus

Special Requirements

  • 5+ years general ledger
  • 5+ years financial reporting experience
  • Displays strong leadership qualities
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • BS in Accounting or Finance

 

Per Pay Transparency Acts: The range for this position is $105,000 to 145,000 + bonus potential up to $7,500 Annually
